About Us

History

Roost Glamping is a pipeline dream of two school friends from New Zealand, Jona & Tom. While travelling Europe together back in 2010, the boys were inspired to open their own accommodation business. Both keen campers and lovers of the outdoors, this lead to the vision of glamping and offering a unique experience for all types of travellers.

After backpacking several locations around Asia, they decided on Phuket as they were drawn by the beaches, culture, food, people and activities which the island had to offer.

The next step was to find a piece of land which was central to the beaches, cafes, shops and adventure activities, yet was private and had an isolated feel to it. After months of searching, they found the perfect land which had plenty of character and was well suited to their concept. The section was covered in tall, thick shrub and had been untouched for the past 5 years, however the boys immediately saw the potential and they knew they had found their home.

"Me and my friend stayed here for 2 nights and we loved it! Clean and modern yet you felt close to nature. They have thought of everything. The site was beautiful, and the food was amazing. We recommend the happy place for tea, just around the corner amazing food. Everything you need is within walking distance. We felt safe and the staff were lovely we would 100% do this again! Our favourite place we’ve stayed so far."
